December Cold and a Craft

It has been cold! Very cold! The pictures above show some coastal "snow" (a mysterious patch of frozen bay water - the only one we could see anywhere around) and a frosty footbridge. But it's warm and cozy inside, and we are working on a project (sneak peak above). It has something to do with what we've been learning about electricity - series and parallel circuits, resistance, switches, and how not to make short circuits, among other things. It also has to do with the book we're reading now, "The Fellowship of the Ring." It will take a number of days to finish the whole project, but we think it will be worth it! - Erica

  1. You are so lucky you got "snow" and that you get to do all types of fun experiments. You are very lucky that you get to read these interesting books. I don't even have time to read that much, but i wish i did. You look like you are having a fun time and you are doing a fantastic job. Keep up the good work, Dan!

  2. Hanna, we're actually reading The Two Towers now. The first book ended with the Fellowship breaking. It was kind of funny when Frodo was leaving, his friend Sam said, "Wait for me," and jumped into the water. Sam really hates water, so this was a very loyal and brave thing for a friend to do. I hope you guys come and visit again during the summer. Bye! Dan
